It’s not only the aisle and kiss bits that are important to capture. I love capturing the whole day from the quiet reflective moments before it all kicks off, the ceremony itself, right through to the questionable ‘moves’ on the dance floor.
I want to capture your day so you can remember it all, but I don’t want you to remember ME! Let me explain: I want you to love my photos but I promise to be an unobtrusive, calm ‘fly on the wall’.
I offer tailored packages starting from $3000. Each package includes all images from the day in both print quality (high resolution) and web quality (low resolution).
For specific package pricing, click the button below and we can get the party (well, the conversation) started.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?
My style is definitely a combination of lifestyle and documentary photography, which essentially means that I like to take more candid and less posed photos of you and your guests. I have a sprinkle of whimsical thrown in for good measure; I love photos that have both light and shadows, blur and grain — warm and rich. Shot lists are not my thing either; the most amazing moments will unfold naturally.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED? HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?
I live in Riddells Creek, in the beautiful Macedon Ranges.
I LOVE to travel for weddings, so if you’re getting married in the Macedon Ranges — or even Ballarat, Geelong, Hamilton, Bendigo, Echuca, Bright or Warnambool ( okay okay, anywhere in this gorgeous state actually) I’m always up for discussing ALL the possibilities. There may be costs associated with this such as travel time and/or possibly accommodation. Let’s chat!
POSING FOR PORTRAITS MAKES US FEEL ICKY – ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE US DO ‘PORTRAIT TIME’?
Yeah I am! BUT before you run for the hills please hear me out – I’m not about having a zillion portraits on the day and I strongly encourage you to acknowledge that you might feel a little awkward at the start. This is an area that I like to chat about at our meeting, because I honestly get that you might not love having your photo taken (because neither do I). And then I want you to trust me enough to do the portrait session anyway. I promise that feeling a little awkward will be totally worth it.
Why? The portrait time is about MORE than just taking photos - it will also give you some quiet time away from the beautiful chaos of the day and to just have the space to reflect and celebrate your love, just the two of you (and me!). Having that time to drink each other in and catch your breath is why the portrait time is one of my favourite moments to capture on your day. I will do some very light directing to help you feel relaxed (and less silly) and you can definitely bring some beers and bubbles with us to.
Portrait time is typically after the ceremony, but we can also do it before the ceremony with a ‘first look’. Generally allow at least 30 minutes to an hour for portraits, and because I try not to over complicate things, we will stick close by to the ceremony/reception (disclaimer: if there is a spectacular natural spot near your wedding though, I can drive you - I promise to remove the kids seats!)
HOW LONG SHOULD WE BOOK YOU FOR?
My packages are based on how long I spend with you on the day.
Getting together to chat about your day is the best way to work out exactly what you WANT captured and how long you’ll need me for to make that happen. You can contact me for my package details or let’s meet for a coffee or Skype date.
DO WE HAVE TO FEED YOU?
Yes please, that would be nice, especially if I am staying over lunch/dinner. I won't be photographing you or your guest while you eat (because eating photos are never flattering!) so if I could have my meal at the same time that would be fabulous and will fuel me up nicely for the dance floor shenanigans! I'm pretty easy to feed, I do not have any dietry requirements ... to be honest I will just be stoked that I don't have to cook a meal.
DO YOU EDIT EVERY IMAGE?
I most certainly do, taking the photos is only half of the job. I will spend many hours carefully editing each and every photo from your day. My style is very natural so I never edit in a way that takes away any ‘you-ness’ – only to bring out the most beautiful elements of the picture.
HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
I like to get your images to you six weeks after the wedding. Image delivery is a two-step process.
You will first receive your images on a online gallery within six weeks of your wedding and the two weeks after that you will receive a USB of your images in both web quality and print quality along with a few other goodies (but I am not going to spoil the surprise!)
CAN YOU ORGANISE PRINTING AND ALBUMS FOR US?
Right now, I am mentally high-fiving you because I absolutely believe that photos should be printed and appreciated, not just stuck on a USB stick. I use an Australian fine art printing company whose quality is amazing and you will cherish them for many years to come.
I also offer stunning 10" x 10” handmade custom albums that will instantly become treasured family heirlooms.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
See that big button at the bottom of these questions? Hit that and fill out the form. I will let you know if I am available and send you my price list, we will have a chat on email initially and then organise a meeting in real life (either over a coffee or on the phone) and take it from there.
To secure your date you will need to pay the deposit and sign my contract (but I wont send them out until after we have had our chat).
YOU MENTIONED A DEPOSIT?
Yes, to secure your date you will need to pay a 30% non-refundable deposit (but transferable). The balance is due 14 days before your wedding
WE ARE PRIVATE PEOPLE AND WOULD PREFER THAT YOU DO NOT SHARE ANY IMAGES FROM OUR DAY
That is absolutely fine, I will send your sneak peek directly to you instead of sharing on social media and will not include any of your photos on my website or blog.
DO YOU HAVE ANY VENDORS YOU RECOMMEND?
I sure do, let me know what you are looking for and I will hook you up!
